Artists Amongst Us

Writing poetry means everything to me. I find that I can create ideas and formulate them into poetry easily. Sometimes I can write a complete piece in a few minutes, or a few days. This depends upon the amount of drafts necessary to finalize it.
As a competitive writer I enjoy deadlines! (Actually I don't, but that seems to be the factor that motivates me into actually entering competitions!).
For the second year in a row I have been accepted as a juried poet through Artist's Amongst Us. My job now is to write about the artwork selected. In addition, I am hoping to collaborate with musicians to complete a masterpiece!
My work begins tonight.................

"Teaching Haiku"

My one night seminar teaching Haiku was successful. I enjoy sharing my writing experiences with others to allow them to craft their own pieces. Writing Haiku is not easy, and it takes practice to fully understand the craft of writing them.
Here's a recent Haiku that I wrote:
Cascading snow drifts
Frozen Niagra Falls sits
Amongst sharp boulders
