The grand entrance of 2006
It's amazing how one year flows smoothly into the next, it's kind of like a birthday, the next day you don't feel any different than you did the night before!
A lot of people celebrate the New Year with cheers, beers, and lots of exhuberance. I prefer to stay at home, and off the roads as there are way too many people out there that have had a bit too much to drink.
I feel it's a lot easier to celebrate when one is sober and cognizant of what is going on. Since I've never been a drinker, I don't miss the hangovers or other ailments that afflict New Year's eve and New Year's Day revelers. Thanks, but no thanks!
I think if more people realized that they could have a perfectly good time staying home and celebrating without the booze they'd fell a whole lot better physically and mentally. Anyway. the New Year awaits.............
I also don't believe in New Year's resolutions, as I never keep them. I figure if it's important enough for me to do anyway, I'll incorporate it into my daily lifestyle. To me, that's a bit more realistic. I want to feel good about my new year!
I have a lot of writing and publishing to do this year, and, I've got to go polish off a manuscript right now......
