"A Rainy Day in January"

Will the rain ever let up? I figured it would turn to snow by now, but no, there are huge puddles out front. Gobs of mud near the sidewalk waiting to stick like glue to the bottom of my shoe. Perhaps I prefer the rain to snow, but the dreariness is a bit much.
Today, I am overwhelmed with deadlines and trying to get them all done. It's almost funny if I think about it. I wanted to take a break, work a little bit less, yet, I find that I am working more than I had planned these first few weeks of January. Anyway, I would just like for the sun to shine, and things to go according to plan!
As you and I know, that might be just a tad bit much to ask for!
I think I've worked enough tonight, but I know that I still have plenty to do......
