August 2006

Wow! The August days are quickly disappearing..............I cannot believe that the year is three quarters over!!! I remember January 1st as if it was yesterday.....Well almost...........I actually prefer the warmer days of August, and I am hopeful that it will stay warm until Christmas! I know, I know, I need to live in a climate year round to guarantee a Christmas in shorts and a tee shirt! Who knows, maybe someday............Besides, I'm still dreaming of the castle overlooking the beach, and sipping my tea out of solid gold tea cups and hundred year old china!
I guess the great imagination that I have will ensure that the above will take place before I attain the age of 65! Anyway, if you can't be whimsical once in a while, what's the point of working so darn hard!
I know I've got a lot of work to do, and not enough time to do it in. I'm sure you feel the same way about your daily work too. It's hard sometimes if you suffer from writer's block, or just aren't able to write the way you want. That's why it's important to take a day or two off, sometimes, you do it because you aren't up to the task or writing, or maybe you're a bit under the weather. Remember, all writers are human, and are able to take a few days off.....One thing to remember too, is that usually after a brief respite from daily life or daily work, you are more energized and ready to tackle that next assignment no problem!
I have quite a few of them right now, but, I'm going to work on a couple of them, and hopefully complete one or two in the next few days. If I need some extra time to accomplish that, then, I'll give myself an extended deadline.
Sometimes you have to break the rules so you can accomplish your goals.
