February Is Here Already!

Will the groundhog see his or her shadow? I hope that winter ends in a few weeks, if not sooner! The cold weather has been a bit much as of late and I'd like a reprieve from it now. Supposedly it'll warm up in the next couple of days. We shall see. I know that the weather needs to break so that I can take a break from the winter flu season.
My work is important to me and I can't afford to stop writing even for a nanosecond as it's difficult to catch up fast. Writing is so much work that people don't understand what it is all about at times.
One of my latest clients understands the amount of writing he needs to do to start working towards his goals. It's easier to think about them sometimes, versus putting the ink on the paper. Of course writing is really about revising and then publishing. I know that some people think that I am here to read their work for free and I am quite insulted by that fact.
I wouldn't think about not paying someone to dry clean my clothes or frame my photographs. Yet, some people still believe that writers do not make a living at their craft and that paying for mere words is insulting.
Imagine if all of the great writers and poets worked for free, what a travesty that would be!
