The Writing Life

I am happy to tell you that I've written another award winning piece recently, and that it'll be turned into a children's book at a later date. I was inspired when I began writing it a year ago and the words flowed as quick as a salmon traveling upstream......What I didn't do was complete it all in one sitting as I knew that what I had created at the time was good. Yet I knew that stopping was the best way to save the story. Another words I didn't want to ruin its unique flavor. I told myself that I'd pick up the pace once again when I was ready to compose again, and the zest to do it in one sitting.
And, that's exactly what happened. I put aside a block of time to write and spice it up without editing the first draft which was essentially complete from my first attempt at penning this story.
I was hoping that I could re-connect with the characters easily and move the story along without any bumps in the road. Thankfully I was able to do this in a short time and finish it up without any problems.
The visuals that I had in my head became as real to me as the characters who were living it on the computer screen. I was engrossed in every second of the storyline. My story telling prowess continues to educate, enthrall, and win prizes! I am all for that!!
