There's More To Talk About!

I find that writing everyday is easier if you are dedicated to your craft. If setting up a writing schedule is tough for you to do, just do the best you can as you set up your writing and publishing goals for 2008. You are only human, and there will be times when it is difficult to meet all of your project deadlines. If the deadlines are self-imposed, that's fine, but, if you've negotiated a deal with someone else, you really need to complete the project on time. It's important that you are able to meet those time lines. Remember that if you see a potential problem with a deadline you need to address it ahead of time, and, not at the last minute. Editors and publishers can be nice, and even forgiving at times, but, only if you are upfront and honest with them. You wouldn't expect less from someone who was working for you!
As I touched on yesterday, being under the weather has been an extreme hindrance for me at times as I still struggle with being up to speed health wise. It's a battle that I'll continue to fight! I know that when I cannot accomplish all of my work goals, I take that time to think about what projects I'll handle differently, and other projects that I'll embark on too.

There's So Much To Talk About!

I know it's been a while since I've posted an entry here, but, life has passed by pretty quickly lately. The unfortunate part is when one is too busy to keep up with all blog entries and must cut back on some of them.
The holiday rush had a lot to do with that as well as the fact that I've battled sinus infections for over two months. It can be a real nightmare when I have deadlines and numerous obligations to pursue daily.
I had hoped to take a short trip to NY over the holidays but the timing wasn't perfect. I had wanted to go during Thanksgiving, but, National Novel Writing Month had a fierce grip on me again in 2007. I did write and compose a neat novel in 27 days and hope to begin editing it sometime in 2009! Heck I haven't worked the kinks out of my novel written in 2006 for National Novel Writing Month yet as I have numerous book manuscripts that lay in wait as I take my sweet time in polishing them off.
What I realized in November of 2007 was that I truly needed to publish some of the book manuscripts that are awaiting the final touches. It seemed to be an issue for me as I penned my latest fiction novella. Each time I embark on an adventure like National Novel Writing Month, I find out a bit more about myself and the fact that I am a dedicated and determined writer who has many books to publish. Plus, my research on my latest venture that's a historical kids book needs work. I'd really like to start writing a bit more about that and start my manuscript before the end of 2008. I have more research to do and some more interviews. I do have two people that I already interviewed for my book which I hope will bring it to life somewhat for my readers of all ages.
I am also restructuring my writing/editing/publishing business. This will be a positive change for my company. I look forward to helping other writers and authors reach their artistic goals in 2008!
