Writing Numerous Children's Stories
Writing for children is an intensive form of artistry. I am presently working on my prequel "Ghost Whisperer," which is the story that depicts the father Sam in my newly released book, "The Cornstalks Are Whispering," which is popular with children and adults alike. I am looking forward to completing my drafts of this new story so I can have it out and available in bookstores by the end of the summer! I'd like for it to debut around the same time that my Cornstalks was released last year. I'm excited to have another book written that is a part of a series.......Here's a closeup picture of my book, "The Cornstalks Are Whispering." Please purchase a copy from me or at your local bookstore or online venue.
Michigan's One Room School House Association's Annual Conference May 22 2010
As a Board Member for MORSA, I am looking forward to our upcoming one room school house conference in Okemos Michigan on Saturday, May 22 from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. The speakers will engage the audience in remembering the history of one room school houses that are still standing in Michigan, as well as teaching the conference attendees how to record an oral history and also some of the controversy that has surrounded the McGuffey readers. It will be an interesting and educational opportunity for those who are interested in one room school house history.
Additionally my books will be available for purchase and I do hope that those in attendance will want to purchase a copy of my book, "Haiku For You: With Some One Room School House History," published in March of 2009. "The Cornstalks Are Whispering," will also be available as it is a historical fiction/ghost story for children of all ages.

Veterans Fundraiser at Karma Coffeehouse in Wayne 5-16-2010
I will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, May 16 at Karma Coffeehouse to raise funds and awareness for the plight of homeless veterans in Michigan. This project will assist the Michigan Veterans Foundation in Detroit, Michigan. Please stop by and show your support for veterans! The event will be held between 2:00pm and 5:00pm and the business is located at 3015 S. Wayne Road. You will be helping veterans start their lives over and give them an opportunity to reclaim their position in society. In addition to the funds we are proposing to raise, we are looking forward to donations of canned goods for the food pantry, as well as business attire for both women and men so that they can have a professional outfit to wear to a perspective interview. Yes, many individuals assume that the homeless veterans are only men and this is so not true. The faces of the women and men are a reminder as how lucky we are to have shelter, food, money and a safe place to call home.
